As a therapist, I am committed to helping children, adolescents, adults and families to achieve their goals and find healing within a safe environment. In my work as a psychotherapist I offer the greatest respect for individual differences, cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs and social experiences. I engage in treatment through the combined lenses of EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Self-Compassion Training and the neurobiology of trauma and attachment. Currently, I use IFS-informed EMDR as my primary therapeutic modality. This modality harnesses an individual’s innate ability to heal and change; it teaches an individual to see their symptoms as past adaptive responses to stress, and to learn new ways of living. I always encourage the pursuit of wellness outside the therapy room and guide individuals and families towards healthy play, artistic expression, spiritual engagement and physical activity.
